We are a full-service, general surgical practice. We can do most typical surgeries in a quick timeframe, and we seek to provide excellent results, keep your pets comfortable, and improve lives. We know surgery is scary, and we want to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Please have a visit with one of the vets to discuss risks, benefits, and options if you think surgery may be in your pet’s best interests. We offer surgical laser for less pain and bleeding, along with modern anesthesia and pain management.
There are a great many benefits to spaying and neutering our pets, beyond just population control. Generally, pets lead healthier lives if spayed or neutered, and we are happy to discuss the pros and cons of spay/neuter, timing of the surgery, and any other concerns you may have. We provide comprehensive comfort care, post-operative monitoring, and evaluate if any special needs may exist around your pet’s surgery.
Removal of lumps, fixing wounds, and internal abdominal surgery are all available. We are skilled in many procedures, and can help you decide whether a surgical solution is right for your pet. For cancers and growths, making a good first attempt at complete removal is often the critical step, and we are here to help. We also maintain relationships with local specialists to make sure we help you get the right surgeon should we need to refer your pet.
Some orthopedic procedures can be done in our hospital, such as some Cranial Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgeries and “kneecap” surgeries. Others are often better left to specialists. We are skilled in diagnosing bone and joint problems, and will give you an honest assessment of the best treatment and the best specialized veterinarians to provide it.
